Guma Dawei / 388D-1 (Duge trave)

Dawei 388D-1: The World-Renowned Benchmark in Classical Long Pimple Defense

The Dawei 388D-1 is universally celebrated as one of the most cost-effective and dependable long pimpled rubbers ever produced. Featuring tall, slender, and flexible cylindrical pimples, 388D-1 delivers outstanding spin reversal against aggressive topspins, producing deep backspin returns from mid-distance and awkward wobbling balls over the table. Available in both OX and thin sponge formats, it is a staple for tactical defenders.

Key Performance Characteristics in Play

• Pronounced Spin Reversal: Slices through heavy incoming topspins, converting the opponent's forward rotation into heavy downward backspin.
• Low Floating Trajectory: Blocks on the table stay low over the net, forcing opponents into uncomfortable lifting shots.
• Safe Chopping from Far Distance: Cushions aggressive drives safely, allowing defenders to maintain steady, deep chop rallies.
• Immunity to Service Spin: Simplifies service reception by ignoring opponent wrist variations and redirecting the ball reliably.
